^Lot 1540 WWII GERMAN M1933 SS DAGGER BY EICKHORN

A fine WWII German M1933 SS dagger with an overall length 14 5/8" with an 8 5/8" Blade that is etched "Meine Ehre Heisst Treue". The blade is marked on the reverse " CARL EICKHORN (logo) SOLINGEN ". Nickel silver crossguard and pommel guard with blackened wood grip. Grip has an inset eagle and black enameled SS button near the top. Scabbard shows a black anodized finish with plated mounts. CONDITION: blade shows minor spotty oxidation and some original factory finish. The extreme tip of the blade is broken, perhaps measuring 1/16 of an inch or less. Mounts show light wear as does the grip. Scabbard has some wear to the finish and 1 small linear dent. The scabbard tip also has a few shallow dents. (02-27264/BF). $1800-2500.
